New book: The power of unreasonable people

New book: The power of unreasonable people
George Bernard Shaw once said: "The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all the progress depends on the unreasonable man". This is the main theme of the book "The Power of Unreasonable People: How Social Entrepreneurs Create Markets That Change the World" by John Elkington, Pamela Hartigan and Klaus Schwab.

This book is about unreasonable social entrepreneurs which attack opportunities unmet by for-profit business and create value for the whole society. The authors give various examples from the models such unreasonables pursue in order to realize their objectives.

I was impressed by reading great examples such as Barefoot College in India and the story of the people who did act as a catalyst for creating public good. This is a new book; the authors claim that by understanding these entrepreneurs' mindsets and strategies, you gain vital insights into future market opportunities for your own organization.

If you have time, please take a look at it and tell me what you think? Do you agree with the authors?
